Waves Universe is an authorized Waves dealer and therefore is able to redeem Waves Vouchers. The program, administered by Waves, can be somewhat confusing if it has never been explained to you, so here is an attempt to clear up the confusion.

First off you need to understand how Waves handles vouchers, then we can explain how to save even more money by taking advantage of Waves Universe discounts.

Waves Voucher

A Waves Voucher can be redeemed for:

• 25% off any plugin
• 25% off any combo (Waves combo specials)
• 50% off any bundle
• 50% off any upgrade

Waves Voucher Good to Know:

• You can use the same voucher on any number of products as long as you do so on the same transaction
• You can use multiple vouchers on a single item/upgrade, the only limit is the amount maxes out at 50% (or 25% on plugins)
• The voucher can only be used for one transaction with Waves
• You can daisy chain vouchers (ie: buy an item, get a voucher, buy another item with that voucher, get another voucher, etc…)

Here are some example calculations with a $200 voucher if purchasing direct at Waves:

- Price to buy a $100 plugin, cost would be $100 – $25 (25% off for plugin) = $75 ($175 worth of voucher would remain for same transaction or go unused)

- Price to buy a $400 plugin, cost would be $400 – $100 (25% off for plugin) = $300 ($100 worth of voucher would remain for same transaction or go unused)

- Price to buy a $100 plugin and $400 plugin, cost would be $500 – $125 (25% off plugins) = $375 ($75 worth of voucher would remain for same transaction or go unused)

- Price to buy a $400 bundle, cost would be $400 – $200 (50% off for bundle) = $200 (entire voucher amount used)

- Price to buy a $1000 upgrade, cost would be $1000 – $200 (50% off for bundle) = $800 (entire voucher amount used)

As you can see voucher use at Waves is pretty straight forward as long as you understand the voucher is only good for 25% off any plugin or 50% off any bundle/upgrade up to the value of the voucher. Using the voucher at Waves Universe can save much more money, but gets a bit more confusing.

Waves Voucher at Waves Universe

The first thing to remember is you will always get a better price at Waves Universe than you would buying directly from Waves. The easiest way to get a voucher price at Waves Universe is to send a request via our Voucher Request page. Just send us your voucher code and let us know what you want. We will check the value of the voucher and send you a quote.

The calculations are the exact same, but the waves voucher amount is taken off Waves sale prices not our discounted prices. Our discount prices are based on Waves lowest sale prices. To get a discount for a voucher priced item, we must first calculate the new Waves price for the item based on the calculations above, then we apply our Waves Universe discount. We must do it this way because that is how Waves gives us credit for the voucher. Mathematically it normally works out that if you get 50% off Waves price, then you will get 50% off our price, or 25% Waves and 25% Waves Universe.

We get a dealer discount from Waves based on their sale prices. A Waves Voucher will reduce that sale price and allow us to give you a discount on a lower priced item. Since we cannot give you examples of Waves Universe discount prices due to MAP pricing restrictions, here is a similar, yet silly, example you may find at a discount shoe store.

- A discount shoe store sells all shoes for 50% off. Your favorite brand of shoes are listed for $100 and selling at 50% off for $50. If that brand gave away a $50 voucher, the new price at the shoe store would be $25. That is because they would take the $100 shoes – $50 voucher = $50, then apply the 50% store discount to come to $25. Obviously they could not apply the $50 voucher to their discount price of $50 since that would amount to giving the shoes away for free. A good deal for the customer, but not the best way for a business to stay viable.

At Waves Universe, it is a similar concept. We offer a discount on top of whatever Waves is offering, including Waves voucher prices.
